What are the trading hours of the Nikkei?

The Nikkei, or Nikkei 225, is the main stock index of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The index tracks the performance of 225 stocks listed on the stock market. The index provides a good indication of the performance of the Japanese stock market.

The opening hours of the Nikkei are the same as those of the normal stock market: from 9:00 to 15:00 local time. If you want to trade Nikkei futures, you can do so late into the night. For example, you can trade index futures from 16:30 to 5:30 at night local time.

The Tokyo Stock Exchange or TSE is the second largest in the world after the New York Stock Exchange. With a market capitalization of more than 5000 billion dollars, the stock market attracts many large investors.

The Japanese stock market is divided into the first section, second section, and MOTHERS. The first section contains all large stocks, while the mother’s section only contains small businesses.

The Japanese stock market was founded in 1878, but temporarily closed during World War II. After a reorganization, the stock market reopened its doors in 1949.
